Purworejo, University of Muhammadiyah Purworejo (UMP) received a minibus help from Central Java Bank on Monday (26/3). The assistance will be used as an operational vehicle to improve service to students.
Assistance was submitted by Central Java Bank Director of Retail Business and Sharia Unit Hanawijaya to UMP Rector Drs H Supriyono MPd.
“This vehicle is very useful, of course for the improving services purpose to stakeholder universities,” said Supriyono.
The assistance, he said, is a form of banking sector awareness in supporting higher education in Purworejo. According to him, the development of the education world also requires encouragement from various parties, including private roles.
Meanwhile, Hanawijaya said, vehicle assistance is a form of commitment in helping charity efforts in Purworejo Muhammadiyah. According to him, two charitable businesses are assisted in Central Java are the education sector and hospitals. “To create a closer relationship and in line with our mission to build a strong sharia bank in Central Java,” he said.
Added, the education sector to shoot the Central Java Bank follow up the instructions of President Joko Widodo. The President, rich, asks the banks to give student loans to help college students who face difficulty in tuition.
Banks will lend funds in a certain ceiling to finance student education. The student receives the loan, returns after graduation and gets a job. “We are preparing for Student Loan recording and administration is estimated to be three more months completed and released,” he said. Central Java Bank will cooperate with the university, among others, by considering the graduates absorption in the work world. “We will work with State University and the private sector, including Muhammadiyah educational institutions,” he said.
