TEGAL – Dozens of Small and Medium Industry (IKM) players in Tegal City, Tuesday afternoon (11/2/2020) were equipped with the socialization of the use of non-cash transactions by Bank Jateng of Tegal Coordinating Branch together with the Department of Manpower and Industry (Disnakerin). The event which took place at Tegal Coordinator Branch Office was opened by the Head of Labors & Transmigration Department of Tegal City, R Heru Setyawan.
“We are helping the government in promoting the National Non-Cash Movement (GNNT) program. One of them is by introducing this quick response (QR) or QR Code Indonesia Standard (QRIS) code, “explained.
In the socialization, Heru said that this was a form of support from Labors & Transmigration Department (Disnakerin) to the IKM group in strengthening economic resilience, in order to face the turmoil of global economic uncertainty. Including preparing SMEs, in welcoming the economy in the future.
Heru hopes that SMEs in Tegal can become the pioneers the use of the QRIS system which was officially in effect since January 1, 2020. In its realization, in order to strengthen the digitalization of the payment system initiated by Bank Indonesia, Disnakerin took Bank Jateng as a supporter.
“This is a first step. since later the advantages and benefits can be felt together. “IKM players can move forward by adjusting the technology and Regional Original Revenue (PAD) can also increase,” he concluded.
He added in addition to outreach, the QRIS system would begin to be implemented in every activity held by Labors & Transmigration Office. since, on a regular basis, the IKM assisted by Labors & Transmigration Department (Disnakerin) is directly confronted with conditions on the field by following the event.

On this occasion, Bank Jateng of Tegal Coordinator Branch represented by the Head of the Marketing Team, Prima Yanuar said that by applying the non-cash payment transaction method through one tool, the SMEs had protected themselves and guaranteed security in transacting practice. To facilitate SMIs, his office immediately conducts a practice by making the user in the QRen application a merchant. With QRen, merchants will be greatly helped in digital transactions with consumers through only one QR.
“Every IKM will be recorded moreover their businesses will be given a barcode place. therefore, in the event they will immediately be able to apply the current method of payment from the various digital wallets, “he explained.
Meanwhile, the Tegal City SMEs, Mufasiroh (50) claimed to be greatly helped by the socialization of non-cash transactions use. Besides being facilitated in terms of transactions, he also claimed to be familiar with the new payment model.
