Drought, Bank Jateng Hands Over 25 Clean Water Tanks to Help

PURWOREJO – The occurrence of drought in several regions has attracted concern from the Bank Jateng of Purworejo Branch. As a form of concern, Bank Jateng of Purworejo branch handed over aid to residents experiencing drought in the form of 25 clean water tanks.

The concern entitled “Bank Jateng Cares for Natural Disasters in Drought in Purworejo” was simultaneously carried out in commemoration of the 74th Anniversary (HUT) of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence. The assistance was handed over directly by the Head of Purworejo Branch of Bank Jateng, Yulistyawan S Hartanto, and received by the Secretary of Purworejo BPBD, Windarto.

The procession of delivering aid was carried out in the courtyard of Bank Jateng of  Purworejo Branch Office on Thursday (8/15). The clean water assistance is then distributed to the villages of Hargorojo and Sokoagung, Bagelen District. The departure of the clean water tankers was carried out by the flag waving by the Head of  Bank Jateng of  Purworejo Branch, Yulistyawan S Hartanto.

Yulistyawan revealed, as a Regionally-Owned Enterprise (BUMD), Bank Jateng’s  Branch of Purworejo Bank was called upon to help provide assistance to victims of the recent drought that occurred in a number of Purworejo areas. The assistance in the form of 25 clean water tanks was handed over to Purworejo BPBD so that it was right on target and was useful for residents who needed clean water.

“This assistance is a form of awareness of Purworejo Branch of Bank Jateng to help the people affected by drought in Purworejo. We hope that this assistance can ease the burden on people who are experiencing water shortages due to drought in the dry season, “said Yulistyawan after the delivery of aid.

The Secretary of Purworejo BPBD, Windarto said, his party received and expressed appreciation for the assistance provided by the Purworejo Branch of Bank Jateng. The clean water assistance is then distributed to residents who need clean water in the villages of Hargorojo and Sokoagung, Bagelen District.
