Bank Jateng Women’s Association Provides Basic Food Assistance for Covid-19 Affected Communities

SEMARANG – The Women’s Association (IW) of Bank Jateng provided the staple food packages to people affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This social action is carried out simultaneously at the central to the branch level.

IW Bank Jateng Chairperson, Mrs. Supriyatno said there was no ceremonial when giving the aids. The staple food is distributed through IW management in all branches by prioritizing neighbors whose income is affected by this pandemic. Like those who were laid off by the company.

The distribution of this assistance was to support ‘jogo tonggo’ movement initiated by Central Java Governor, Mr.Ganjar Pranowo, by implementing the social distancing recommendations, not in crowded, “said Mrs.Supriyatno when confirmed on Monday (05/18/2020).

He added, IW Bank Jateng has 39 branches spread across the various districts and cities in Central Java, Yogyakarta and Jakarta and its head office in Semarang. Each of branches provides assistance by adjusting the financial conditions and community needs. The distribution of food assistance was carried out from May 8-20, 2020. Hopefully this assistance will be useful for the community.
