SEMARANG – Towards Eid Al-Adha 1440 H / 2019 AD, Bank Jateng Family through the Islamic Practice Board (BAI) handed over ceremonial animals to ceremonial administrators of mosques, foundations, and mushalas in Semarang City on Friday (9/8/2019).
“This year we handed over 41 Qurban (Sacrified) animals. With details of 12 cows and 29 goats, “explained the Chairman of BAI Bank Jateng, Djoko Sudiatmo, before the handover procession took place at Bank Jateng’s Office. Distribution of Qurban (Sacrified) animals including Grand Mosque of Central Java (MAJT), Kauman Mosque Semarang, Baiturrahman Grand Mosque, and mosques in the city of Semarang.
In fact, he said, some will be distributed to mosques in Boyolali Regency, as well as orphanages in Salatiga. According to him, the Qurban (Sacrified) animals were obtained from voluntary contributions from all the big families of the Bank Jateng. Especially from directors, employees and partners of Bank Jateng, such as insurance companies and pension funds.
The Director of Retail Business and Sharia Business Unit, as well as BAI Trustee of Bank Jateng, Hanawijaya added, the surrender of Qurban(Sacrified) animals has become a tradition for the family of Bank Jateng. it is worth removing part of his wealth to sacrifice. “We also want to inform the public that Bank Jateng is concerned about the environment, in the form of this sacrifice of animals,” he said.
