SEMARANG – Bank Jateng took part in the midst of the pandemic, one of its by distributing the social aid in the form of 25,000 basic food packages aimed at the community and the health workers who are currently exposed to COVID-19.
The President Director of Bank Jateng, Supriyatno in Semarang explained that the provision of social aid was also a form of Bank Jateng’s concern for the people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic during the current Emergency of PPKM.
“Hopefully this aid can be of a maximum benefit to the community, and slightly ease the burden of people’s lives in the midst of the Corona virus pandemic,” said Nano, Supriyatno’s nickname.
Nano admits that social aid cannot be borned by the government only and should be carried out in collaboration with the community and a number of agencies.
The distribution of social aid in the form of basic food packages was carried out from Tuesday (13/7) to Monday (19/7), therefore a total around of 25,000 packages were distributed through the Bank Jateng’s branch office networks, both conventional and sharia spread across all of the Central Java regions, Jakarta. , and Yogyakarta and led directly by the local branch leaders.
“The social aid is handed over through the respective local district/city governments, health workers at the health centers and hospitals as well as the people who are undergoing self-isolation at home,” he added.
The reason for the aid is not only given to people who are carrying out self-isolation, but also to the health workers (Nakes) since they are the spearheads in overcoming the pandemic in the hope of providing moral support as well as easing the burden on the health workers in carrying out their daily responsibilities.
